Or if reading’s not your thing, here’s Simon. One of our Affordable ‘Hear’oes talking about his ‘Affordable Journey’:

The Devil’s in the detail!
An Affordable Hearing Journey: a simple solution: It’s amazing how even a mild to moderate hearing loss can have a disproportionately amplified effect on life. ’Scuse the audio pun there, clarity of sound is our thing. We just can’t help ourselves, luckily we can help you though! I started to lose my hearing at 14. I got my first NHS hearing aids at the age of 17. So you could say I put them off for 3 years. My goodness, they totally transformed my life. It really is the detail of life that you lose. Little by little, surreptitiously, without noticing. 17 was a long time ago for me now.
What I missed most:
However, the main two things I realised I had been missing were birdsong and people’s voices. I had completely forgotten birdsong even existed. It was, also, the return of the ‘detail’ in people’s voices that had the biggest impact on me. Hearing the intonation and expression. Remembering those moments of realisation in relation to hearing the emotion in people’s voices again, still makes me cry to this day. I didn’t get my first private hearing aids until I was 37, 20 years later. Less a case of ‘putting them off’, I just couldn’t afford them.
Affordable Hearing is our attempt to enable more people to access premium hearing aids at a price they can afford, when they need them. We as a company are striving to make this as simple and rewarding as possible. Here’s just how easy it is to buy hearing aids that won’t break the bank. In just 3 simple guided steps:
Step 1: Helloooooo, is it us you’re looking for?
We’re pretty easy to find. We’re always babbling on about how brilliant premium hearing aids are, in all the usual (google, facebook, Youtube or just on the tube) and sometimes slightly less so (random strangers in queues – you know who you are!) places. If you’re reading this you’ve found us! Fantastic, what’s next? The next thing to do is to say hello. Either before or after you’ve had a little mooch around our ‘shop’. We are a super friendly knowledgable team who are passionate about helping people find the perfect hearing aids at brilliant prices. It really is our mission and we love to ‘hear’ from you. There’s going to be a lot of ‘simples’ in this article – there was a clue in the title! Here goes for one: It is very simple to get in touch with us in all the usual and not really any unusual ways:
Phone: 0330 230 3333
Email: info@affordable-hearing.co.uk
Video: HERE
Fax: kidding, no one does any more, do they?
Carrier pigeon: OK, yes, now we are just being very silly!
However, please do get in touch with us!
Step 2: Do you know what you like and like what you know?
An Affordable Hearing Journey: a simple solution: Whether you’re a seasoned hearing aid wearer or just dipping your toe. We’ll help you find the right hearing aid for you. NHS hearing aids are fantastic (once you get to the front of the queue). However, as they are free, it’s very much a case of you get what you’re given. With private hearing aids you get choice and lots of it. Although too much choice isn’t always a good thing and can feel overwhelming. However, all of us here have (not quite, but nearly) encyclopaedic knowledge of hearing aids from old to new and will be able to help you choose exactly the right ones for you.
Please send us the results of your hearing test:
It helps to first email us your audiogram. Then with a few simple (there we go again with another ‘simple’ but it really is!) questions we’ll be able to narrow it down and suggest a couple of options. Once you have made your final choice we will send you a purchase link and you can process the hearing aids through our simple (yep, still simple) checkout process.
For peace of mind:
All of our new hearing aids come with 5 year manufacturer warranties and the refurbished ones 12 months. Our refurbished hearing aids go through a rigorous 21 point process, have their receivers replaced and for the rechargeable aids the batteries tested (over 20 hours verified performance on a single charge (streaming activities may cause a variation to this)).
Step 3: Making sure you get your Happy Ever After:
Your hearing aids will sent out to you tracked and signed for on a 24 hour service. In some cases we can get your hearing aids to you in as little as 3 days from your first contact. The wonders of modern technology and communication, eh? Once they have arrived we will arrange for you to have a remote fitting appointment (although there are also videos available on our website). You’ll then need to wear them for a while to both get used to them and assess if you would like any small adjustments. We recommend a good few weeks before the first ‘tweaking’.
Final bells and whistles (no way José).
An Affordable Hearing Journey: a simple solution: So, this may be the final step in our super SIMPLE (we’ve shouted that in case you missed our latest simple!) Affordable Journey. However, as the heading implies, there won’t be any bells or whistles (other than all of the fancy feature ones on Affordable Hearing Aids), final or otherwise, for two reasons. Firstly, all of our aids are as finely tuned as it is possible to be. So you shouldn’t have any of the frustrating feedback squeaks, pops and bangs you can experience. Also, because there’s no final bell or whistle when your hearing aids arrive from us.
For even more peace of mind - we think you can never have enough!
We stay with you every step of the way. Helping you with any adjustments to the programming or fitting and advising on how to look after your hearing aids so you’ll have many happy hearing aid wearing years, with us with you, every step of the way.
